As we consider another character amid the story of the crucifixion, we find a Roman Centurion.
This commander over 100 other soldiers most surely knew who this Jesus was and all the events surrounding Him. He’d likely heard the stories, the rumors in the crowds, even the trial and testimonies against Him. This Centurion had no doubt seen many men die by his hand and at his command. He’d likely carried out hundreds of crucifixions before.
